London has always been a frontrunner in terms of disruptive technology innovations and is regarded as Europe’s climate tech powerhouse. London, and the UK in general, is clearly one of the leading regions for climate technology in the world, with London-based VCs raising over half of Europe’s climate tech funds in the last two years — a testament to the huge potential for future growth of London’s climate tech sector.

As such, the UK ranks 4th for climate tech investment, with London-based startups receiving more than 70% of the country’s funding. London is booming in terms of climate technology investment, with a combined startup value tripling to $28bn in 2021 alone, housing a number of climate tech unicorns and a multitude of potential future unicorns, and is already being labelled the climate tech city of the future. In terms of the startup ecosystem, London ranks 2nd in the world, housing a total of 416 startups — more than any other European city, as per a report published by London Partners and Dealroom.

London is witnessing a paradigm shift towards this new sustainable landscape and is at the cusp of becoming the global leader in terms of fulfilling net-zero goals, showing a great commitment towards a greener and more sustainable world.
